Privacy Policy

Til We Meet ("we", "the app") is built for couples. We take privacy seriously because the things you share here — photos, notes, conversations, memories — belong to you and your partner, and no one else.

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.

1. What we collect

• Account info: the email address and (if used) display name you give Firebase Authentication when you sign up.
• Your content: notes, reasons, photos, sealed surprises, calendar events, watchlist items, game answers, and anything else you create in the app. This is stored in our Firebase Realtime Database under your shared room.
• Photos: images you upload to the Photo Wall are stored on Cloudinary, our image-hosting partner.
• Subscription data: if you upgrade to Premium, Stripe processes the payment and sends us a record of your subscription status. We never see your card number — Stripe handles all card data directly.
• Basic usage: server logs (IP address, time of request) for security and debugging. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

2. What we don't collect

• We don't sell, share, or rent your data to advertisers or third parties for marketing.
• We don't run AI/ML training on your content.
• We don't track you across other websites.
• We don't have ads.

3. Who can see your stuff

Anything you put in your shared room is visible to you and the partner you share that room with. That's the whole point of the app. It is not visible to other Til We Meet users.

Our infrastructure providers can technically access stored data:

• Firebase (Google): hosts auth + database — see Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudinary: hosts photos — see Cloudinary's privacy policy.
• Stripe: processes payments — see Stripe's privacy policy.
• Netlify: hosts the website — see Netlify's privacy policy.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use browser localStorage to remember your sign-in state, theme preference, and other small UI settings. We do not use third-party cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies.

5. How long we keep your data

Your account and content stay until you delete them. If you sign out and stop using the app, your data remains in case you come back. If you want it gone, contact us (below) or use the in-app account deletion when available.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you have the right to:

• Ask what data we have about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a usable format
• Opt out of any (currently zero) marketing communications

7. Children

Til We Meet is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old (18 in some jurisdictions) to use it. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, Firebase Authentication for account security, and Stripe for PCI-compliant payment handling. No system is 100% secure, but we do our best to protect what you trust us with.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where required, notify you via email or in-app notice.
